Some basics

To begin glitching emotes you will have to have emotes to glitch in the first place, you can find lots of emotes on the workshop. The later methods in this guide will require you to have the Console Commands Plus Mod.  
 
One thing you need to know is that the emotes from the Basegame Animations Emote Pack will not work as the way they work is that they will cancel when you move. 
 

without commands

If you do not want to use commands/mods to glitch emotes there is a fairly easy way to break them inside hat kid’s spaceship. 
 
The first step is to dive onto the railing above the tv

you need to make sure you dive straight onto the railing, and after this you need to actually use the emote you want to glitch

If you dived onto the railing correctly you should now be moving around in your emote of choice

One thing too add is that this method does not work on the very fast speen emote, but there is a way to glitch this emote that will be showed in the next section 
 

Using Commands

The commands needed to glitch emotes are very simple, you need to use the savepos command when not doing an emote and then you need to use the loadpos command when doing an emote (these commands are from console commands plus so you cannot do this with the console commands anywhere mod). you can simplify this even more by using the setbind commands from console commands plus, I have set my binds up as follows

This means that all I have to do is press o on my keyboard and then press l when I am using an emote. 
 
I mentioned in the previous section that the very fast speen emote would not work for that method, well for this method you also need to use the walk command after you use loadpos, again you can bind this

You can also break dive in the same way, you have to use savepos, dive, use loadpos and finally use walk. 
 
 
One fun thing with the moving boop and dive is that when you press the attack button you will swing your weapon but it does not actually count as an attack so you can look like you are hitting someone without hitting them. 
 

Smug Dance

And we are finally on to the best section of this guide, how to have a moving smug dance. This is achieved thanks to the command cammode (this is actually a base game command so you can use the console command anywhere mod for this but the binds from console commands plus are still useful). what the command cammode does normally is make you lose control of hat kid but you have complete freedom of movement of the camera. But you can break the game so that you have cammode active and you can move around. 
 
I have found a few ways of breaking the game in this way: 
using cammode while stuck somewhere you can’t stand up and then jumping 
using cammode while on a chair 
using cammode just as you hit the burger (the timing on this is very hard) 
using cammode while someone is holding you vie the online party plus mod 
and finally using cammode while you are using an emote that ends without you having to cancel it 
 
I prefer using the last method as it will always be available (and I always use boop but you can use any emote you want) 
if you are successful you should be walking around with your camera detached from hat kid (if you aren’t and you only have a detached camera, use cammode again to get control back and try again), now all you need to do is smug dance and for some reason being in cammode prevents the smug dance from ending when you walk around. The only way to end this smug dance is to use cammode again. 
 
You may find that you have the issue that your camera gets too far away from hat kid to control her properly, to fix this you can either use a cancellable emote and move the camera back to hat kid while she can’t move or use the camera badge to move your camera back
