This Guide Will Help Gather Meat (not for the followers variety) by Embracing Random Number Generation
If you explore the dungeons, you will find a campfire. It will always drop MEAT When destroyed.
Sometimes a campfire will appear to have been destroyed. But, as long the fire is naturally spawned, you still have the ability to "destroy" it. MEAT .
Uses of Meat
There are two options for farming MEAT
- The upgraded scarecrow
- The Offering Statue
And the only Right way is of course the Offering Statue
*I'll name it the shrine since it's shorter
The Shrine can be an early game structure that does not require any upkeep, and it works without any followers.
If a Shrine isn’t cool down and a follower has no other activities, the follower will restock it.
(The Offering as well as its ammount are randomly chosen)
The Shrine must always be collected manually. However, it can be done quickly unlike unloading a toilet or similar activities.
After a Shrine has been harvested, it will cool down. However, it will still be in force.
When the cooldown is over, no follower wants to make an offering at this shrine. This can be avoided by simply putting more shrines.
Not all shrines can be restocked by one follower.
Most of the random offerings are usefull but right now we are only focusing on the MEAT so we'll be actively working against the RNG.
From my observations i've determined the chance for MEAT to be roughly 10% and the colldown to be 1/4 (quarter) of the in game day.
This means that theoretically, 10 shrines would be required to offer at least one type of meat offering per rotation.
With all the previouse logic added together we can construct a perfect MEAT farm setup which looks like this.
(The more shrines the greater)
It's all there! Everything you need to learn about Shrines
If you haven’t yet realized, I love the technical aspect.
Anyway, thanks again for reading the guide.
