Guide for Cyberpunk 2077 – Guide To For Beginners!

Welcome to the guide to Cyberpunk 2077. The latest production of the studio’s CD Projekt Red takes us to a world based on the paper system created by Mike Pondsmith. We are going to Night City – a city filled with corruption, violence and corporations in power, but also with great opportunities.

Difficulty

Cyberpunk 2077 allows you to choose the desired level of difficulty, which affects the degree of challenge of the adventure. There are several options, so everyone will find the best suited one.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Guide To For Beginners!

You choose the difficulty level first when you start the game, but then you can easily change it. To do this, during the game.

  • Turn on the pause menu and select Settings
  • There you will find Difficulty of the game

You can choose between four levels:

  • Easy
  • Normal
  • Difficult
  • Hard

In addition, you can also set options related to targeting a*sistance.
The game does not indicate what is affected by the change in difficulty level, but you can guess that it changes the damage dealt and received by the V, the main character.

However, you can certainly say that the difficulty does not affect the exploration, but only the fight.

Remember that there is no scaling of enemy levels in the game. This means that their power is not adjusted to the player’s progress and it is possible to meet rivals who are simply too strong and tough for the hero – even after lowering the difficulty level.

How Start?

Perform at least a few main tasks

The storyline is a great introduction to the world of Cyberpunk 2077, not only familiarizing the player with the city, but also teaching him the basic mechanics, while allowing him to try them out immediately.

Getting used to side activities

Not all the tasks in Cyberpunk 2077 have a storyline background. It is worth checking contracts, crime reports, robberies, suspected organized crime or suspected cyberpsychosis. The latter involve fighting with quite difficult opponents, so you can leave them for later.

Take on some side tasks

Next to apartment V there are several side tasks that will give you a better understanding of the world of Night City and the basic mechanics. These missions include When you look into the abyss, a gift from the T-Bug (for this you will receive a free hack) and Satisfaction guaranteed.

Buy your first car

Soon after the fun starts you will lose your car as a result of an accident and you will only stay with Jackie’s motorcycle. Although you will soon regain your car, you will be deprived of a larger means of transport for several hours. This is a good time to buy a car.
The first car will probably not be impressive, but there will be time for beautiful sports cars. At the beginning of the game you would still have no money to buy them.

Find the weapon and fighting style that suits you

After a number of missions and activities mentioned above, you will probably already have a lot of weapons in your equipment. It is worth to decide to develop your character to handle only a few favorite types, not all.
For example, you can invest points in handling blades and small arms or rifles and heavy machine guns.
You can also decide whether you prefer to sneak in, develop your life and armor, become a hooker or take another path. This will make it easier for you to decide whether to invest in Attributes and Perks in the skill tree.

Saving and loading the game

To save the game, go to the main menu and select Save game status.
In the new window, select Free slot, which is the new storage location, or overwrite an existing one.
Note: PC players can also make a quick save using the F5 button, without going to the menu.

Remember that the game itself saves the progress every few minutes

How to change and hide gun

Let’s start by looking at hiding. To hide or pull out the currently selected weapon, use the following buttons:

Double Alt on the keyboard

Double triangle / Y on the parade

In some cases – e.g. when you are in a public area – it is not possible to remove your weapon.

Changing weapons is done in a similar way
Cleaning:

Cleaning. Alt on the keyboard

Triangle / Y on the parade

The weapon selection menu will open. Simply indicate the desired one and confirm the selection:
A separate issue is the change of weapons in the equipment, i.e. a*signing other weapons to the slots you see in the above mentioned selection menu.

To manage your weapons, simply open the inventory and select one of the slots to which you want to a*sign other weapons. Then find the desired model and confirm your choice.

Braindance

You cannot activate Braindance alone. The person who will introduce you to this world is Judy Alvarez. You will only enter into the memories of specific people at specific moments in the story.

  • Once you have moved to digital reality, you will be in Replay mode. It is good to watch the whole recording first at normal speed and without pauses. The Repeat mode will no longer be necessary afterwards
  • Press Tab on your keyboard or L1 / LB on the pad to enter Edit mode where the actual game play will start

Your task in braindance is to jump between three layers to find all the tips. Once you have found the clues you will be able to leave braindance and continue the story.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Guide To For Beginners!

These three layers are:

  • visual (yellow)
  • thermal (blue)
  • audio (green)

You switch between layers using the Shift key on the keyboard or R1 / RB on the pad.

Scanning and searching for tips in braindance

You have to be in Edit mode to look for tips. You change modes with the Tab button on your keyboard or L1 / LB on the pad.

In Edit mode you can move freely and switch between layers. Your task is to find the tips on each layer.

Scroll forward and backward with the E and Q buttons on the keyboard or L2 / LT and R2 / RT on the paad until you see highlighted fragments on the layer bar. Somewhere within these fragments there are clues that you have to scan.

Look for the yellow magnifying gla*s icon within the highlighted sections – these are the tips. To perform a scan, simply hold the cursor on the object.

If there are no more clues in a given part of the layer, the backlight will disappear. Then you can search further.

How to make money quickly!

  • Look for Eurodollars left loose – Money can often be found on counters or cabinets in hostile areas. This is difficult because the cash has a white color of rarity, so it is not particularly striking
  • Collect and sell junk – usually these items do not have a high value, but there are also cases of junk worth a lot of money, e.g. tags for 750 Eurodollars. Sell “garbage” regularly at the vendors. Learn to collect junk that doesn’t have any weight – it won’t take up any space in your backpack, and you will earn a penny on it.
  • Sell weapons and clothes instead of disa*sembling them – if you do not invest in the development of the Technical Capability attribute and are not interested in making items, there is no need to dismantle them. Instead, collect them in your backpack and then sell them in bulk. In the later stages of the game, weapons and clothes are worth quite a lot. The weapon collector will surely need to increase your character’s load capacity.
  • Take on contracts – each contract is at least 1500 Eurodollars added to your portfolio, in some cases you will earn 3000 or more
  • Take part in police activities, marked with blue icons on the map – you will not receive impressive sums of money in them, but on the other hand, their execution may take you literally several seconds, so considering the time, they are extremely profitable
  • Make items and sell them – if you have a lot of components in your backpack but do not make weapons for yourself, it is a good idea to craft for sale. Even before you create an item, under its description you will see the value, i.e. the money you will get for it from any trader.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Guide To For Beginners!

Finally, it is worth adding that the plot is not the best way to earn money quickly – mainly because of the very long time you spend on the main tasks. Contracts and police activities are definitely more profitable.

Ripperdoc

Ripperdoc is a very important character in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. He is one of the types of service available in the game and is responsible for installing, removing, upgrading or replacing the implants in the V body.

To find a ripperdoc, look for the pliers icon on the map. Then just go to the site and talk to him.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Guide To For Beginners!

There are many ripperdocs in the city – you can go to any of them, although it is worth noting that different ripperdocs may have different a*sortment of implants.

Only a ripperdoc can install, replace, upgrade or remove the implants in a V-body – a character cannot do this alone, even if he has an implant in his equipment.

Attributes and a*sets, skill tree

The issue of the skill tree in Cyberpunk 2077 is quite complicated. We get Attribute and Attribute points, which we spend within the various “skill sections”, and then there are Skills. All the most important aspects are explained below.

To view and expand the skills tree, go to the Character tab in the main menu.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Guide To For Beginners!

On the left you will see the Attribute and Attribute points that you have. You get the points for reaching successive levels, that is, simply by performing missions and various other actions.

Attributes

Attributes are segments on the main character development screen – e.g. Body Build, Reflex, Intelligence, etc. They stand higher in the hierarchy of character development – increasing their level allows you to unlock more Attributes of a given category (we will go to that later), and also raises other general character statistics. You get one Attribute point every three character levels.

Hovering the cursor over an Attribute, on the right you will see what the increase in its level will affect. To increase the level, use the Buy option . One Attribute point is one level more.

Strengths

Enter a given attribute to see the a*sociated Perks, i.e. square tiles with icons. They are divided into different skill categories . This is where you buy the character’s individual abilities – active and pa*sive.

Each ability costs one perk, with some perks having several levels – each of them also costs one point. You receive one point of an Attribute when your character is promoted to the next level.

To buy an Attribute or increase its level, use the Buy option. You can only buy Attributes that are within your level of the Attribute a*sociated with a given Attribute. If the Attribute level is too small, the Attribute icon will be grey and you will see information about it in the Attribute’s window.

The lowest Attribute of a given Skill category needs to be developed up to level 20. Details below.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Guide To For Beginners!

Skills

We have already mentioned skills before (let’s recall, these are tabs over the perks tiles), but it’s worth taking a closer look at them.

When in Cyberpunk 2077 you perform an activity from a given category, your character automatically gets better and better in it. For example, silent elimination of enemies improves the Skill called Sneaking. You can see a gradual increase in the Skill by means of the notifications on the left side of the screen. On the screen you will also see information about the Skill level increase when it occurs. You can see the level of a certain Skill on this Skill screen, under Perks: What ensures the achievement of next skill levels? First of all, additional perks points. As we mentioned earlier, the 20th Skill Level also unlocks the lowest of the Perks in a given category.

How to get a Porsche 911

Before the premiere of Cyberpunk 2077, it was announced that CD Projekt had started cooperation with Porsche. As a result, the game included a Porsche 911 Turbo – a Johnny Silverhand car.

That’s why many players wonder after starting the game: how can you get this car? There is one way and it is worth noting that Porsche cannot be simply found or bought.

You will get the car while doing a side mission where Johnny is. It is part of a side thread related to Rogue. At the end of this task we have to leave the container (1) – in the middle there is a Porsche 911 Turbo, which we get into.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Guide To For Beginners!

In this mission we still have to get to the landfill. We will talk to Silverhand there, and then the mission will end.

After this task we can call our car at any time. The Porsche goes on our personal vehicle list.

It is worth noting that Porsche 911 in the game has the least visible damage and disintegrates the weakest in visual terms. It can explode when under heavy fire, but – for example – the mask does not crumple too much, even if you hit an obstacle hard.
