Guide for Cyberpunk 2077 – Money Making Guide WIP
Where to go First.
What you want to do first is go to Westbrook in the Charter Hill district on the top left of it and go to the fast travel spot called Gold Niwaki Plaza near Chinatown district.
From this location you want turn to your right to face the highway next to you.
Run over to the highway and jump on the railing on the right side of it.
Run up to get to this area and then jump over to it.
This is the area where you will start your run.
The Run
The run part consists of you running up to these vending machines and buying anything and everything from them. After you are sold out on each machine grab the cans of soda/pop you will then go to the next set of vending machines, then rinse and repeat.
I have organized the best that I can by putting ” # ” with the corresponding number in every spot that you have to loot the machines. Here is a map of what I took for this run I did.
And this one is the continued map of the run.
With the map out of the way I can show you how I did it. To add insult to injury I marked the machines with comic sans and did this all in ms paint. Your welcome.
- #1 After jumping down to the area to the right of you is a set of vending machines, 2 Nicola and 2 Mixit machines.
- #2 Once you loot those run down the stairs to your left and exactly below #1 you will see 9 more machines.
- #3 After that if you turn to your right you can either go back up the stairs and to the right, or you can just jump over the wall by climbing the planter and signs. You want to run around the entire rounded part of the building in front of you when you go up the stairs or jump the wall. On the opposite side of that building there will be 7 more vending machines.
- #4 If you turn 180 degrees you will see another path that has a bridge connecting the two buildings above you. In that little alleyway you will find 12 more vending machines on your left.
- #5 Exactly behind you there will be 3 more vending machines that you can loot.
- #6 Turn to your left towards the open area that you haven’t been in yet and to the right of #4 vending machines you will see a basketball court. Run over to that court and you will find 2 more vending machines.
- #7 A couple feet away from #6 on the right you will find another 2 vending machines.
- #8 directly behind you is a set of stairs, head down them and on your left there will be these 4 vending machines you can loot.
That is the run I did for 10 minutes and the next section has my results for my experiment.
Known Bugs and My Math
NOTE: Due to bugs where if you consume one of the drinks instead of disa*sembling it with result in it not giving you any components and you will just have to sell them or wait forever for it to fix itself. I have tried dropping the items all out of my inventory and pick it back up to see if it fixed it and it doesn’t. I found out later it will fix itself but it takes a long time to go back to normal.
Second Bug I found was when you are spamming the “F” key or if you use controller the “X” or “Square” button on the vending machines it sometimes doesn’t spawn your item. So you could spend 100 Eurodollars on 10 cans but only 7 dropped. So be aware of the items if they are actually dropping or not.
This method doesn’t guarantee a set amount of items per machine. It is all RNG based and sometimes it can give 1 or 2 cans or it can give you 50. Trust me I have done this more than just 1 run.
Before I did this run I took note of the time I started, how many components, and how much money I had on me. The math I know is not 100% correct for if you take the amount of items I purchased to the ones I have received because the second bug causing outliers in the study I did. As well as some perks I have unlocked to increase the components I get from disa*sembling.
Starting Components: 9,056
Starting Money: 119,192
Starting Time: 10:58 a.m
When I did this run I had caused a bug to occur for the Nicola cans not to give me components when disa*sembled. So I avoided them most of the time but I still purchased everything and everything they had for each vending machine. I just spammed “F” a bunch of times and moved my mouse left and right on the menu and bought the items. Here is the list of items I got from this run.
Total Items: 1,010 – 5 Nicola = 1,005
- Chromanticore: 135
- Carnival: 129
- Lime: 110
- Cirrus Cola Cla*sic: 9
- Blood Breeze: 8
- Corn and Lemon: 8
- Nicola: 5
- blue: 250
- Fire: 50
- Sakura: 186
- Tiancha: 56
- Kumquat: 32
- Pomelo: 32
Total Ending Components: 15,589
Ending Money: 108,382
Ending Time: 10:58 a.mIf we take the ending components and subtract it from the starting components we will get our amount of components gained.
15,589 – 9,056 = 6,533 Total components gained
Then if I take the ending money and subtract it from the starting money I will get the amount of money spent.
119,192 ending money – 108,382 starting money = 10,810 spent money
After you have disa*sembled the cans of soda/pop if you make your way back to the fast travel point that you started at there will be two drop points behind it.
Each drop point has 20,000 Eurodollars in them and if you run out of money in both of them go to your menu screen and go to the time and skip ahead 24 hours this will reset the money in the drop points so you can keep selling to them over and over again.
What you are going to do is go into your crafting menu and scroll all the way down to the bottom and find the most valuable common weapon you can craft.
In my scenario with the perks I have the item I crafted was a shotgun that took 40 components normally but I have a perk to reduce that amount to 38 components.
If we take the total amount of components earned and divide it by the amount of components we need to make our weapon you will get the total amount you can make from all those components we just earned.
6,533 / 38 = 171.9
Next we round it down to the next whole number 171.
We then take the amount of weapons we can craft and times it by the value of our weapon to get the total of what we will get from sell for profit.
171 x 210 = 35,910 Eurodollars
From here we take our potential earnings and we subtract the total amount spent to get our PROFIT!
35,910 – 10,810 = 25,100 Eurodollars
The total time it takes to craft 1 weapon is roughly 1 second. I timed it and I got .93 seconds for one.
So if we take the total amount we can craft and times it by 1 second we get about 171 seconds to make 171 weapons. Take that and divide it by 60 and we get about 2.85 minutes or 2 minutes and 51 seconds it takes to make 171 weapons.
With that being said if it took me from 10:48 a.m to 10:58 a.m which is 10 minutes for the run and 2 minutes and 51 seconds for the crafting part, add a rough estimate of 2 to 3 minutes of running back to the drop points and selling all of it to them it took me about roughly 15 minutes 51 seconds to make a total profit of 25,100 Eurodollars.
Perks I highly recommend
Before I get to the conclusion of this guide I wanted to put a section that would go over the perks that I have or I am going to get to help increase my profit significantly. That being said as just an FYI I wanted to let you know that if you are going to be doing this method make sure that your Crafting Skill is still leveling up. When you hit a certain level with the Technical Ability the Crafting Skill doesn’t level up anymore until you put more points into the Technical Ability. I noticed this when I was doing this method and I quickly started putting more points into it and now I can focus on getting these perks that I haven’t gotten yet.
First Perk I recommend is the Mechanic perk. it allows you to gain more components when disa*sembling items
Second Perk is the Workshop Perk. Whenever you are dismantling items it grants a 15% chance to gain a free component of the same quality as the dissembled item if you have upgraded it all the way to the 3 tier like I have.
Third Perk I haven’t gotten but I am going to when I level up enough is the Cost Optimization Perk. It reduces component cost of crafting items by 15%.
Fourth Perk I also haven’t unlocked but I think its really good so its going to be recommended also is the Ex Nihilo Perk. This perk grants a 20% chance to craft an item for free. which I think is pretty awesome if you ask me.
Fifth Perk I don’t know if it increases the value of it or not but I wanted to share it also is the Field Technician Perk. This one will increases the damage of crafted weapons by 2.5%. If this does increase the value please let me know in the comments.
Conclusion
From the Experiment I have done I have earned 25,100 Eurodollars in roughly 15 minutes 51 seconds which is not terrible if you ask me. Get on this guide as soon as you can because they are probably going to patch this at some point in the future. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
A side note I also wanted to mention is that when you are disa*sembling the cans of soda/pop you also get uncommon components on the side from the common components that I have used in this example.
This was really fun for me to make because I really enjoy stats a lot to be able to see what I can make in a game in a small amount of time. This did take me 5 hours to complete so I hope you liked it. I have never made a guide like this before so if you liked it rate it or favorite it. Leave a comment if you found a better area that you can farm these vending machines to make money in a faster time that what I did. Thanks for reading!
