This guide includes a walkthrough that covers 100% of the game. There are three hearts for every village, all achievements and – naturally! – the ending. It's divided up into five sections, one each for each map. The list also includes all achievements and how to obtain them.

Introduction

Doki Doki Ragnarok (visual novel) is where you, the fearsome Viking, can date villages. Yeah… Pillaging like dating. It sounds odd, but it really is! This guide will help ensure that you succeed in every encounter and earn all achievements.

The game features four maps of the world: England France Sweden Iceland. You move through each country's maps, "dating" any villages you come across. Depending on how well the process goes, you might get different results.

No hearts —-> If you fail to date the village —->, you are not allowed to continue in the game
One heart —-> Get married to the village —-> before you start the game
Two hearts —-> Enjoy great success in dating the village —->
Three hearts —-> Perfect outcome for dating the —-> village.

There are some encounters between characters, but they do NOT have heart ratings. These encounters serve only to tell the story. It is possible to make some achievements in these encounters.

This guide will give you the necessary information to get the best results.

England

England is where the adventure begins! You will continue through many encounters until you reach Londinium. This is the "boss struggle" of England. When you conquer England, you unlock France & Sweden on the (world map. You can then continue with any country).

Here, I will give you the details of each encounter and a general strategy. I'll also list all achievements in that specific village (/another encounter).

Intro Village

This is the very first encounter you will have in the game. This is where Odin will give you some helpful guidance. This one is impossible to lose. If you fail too often, the game will give the "Miraculous Comeback". Although it will not be a perfect victory, you can choose the one to win in each case.

Choose from the following options for the perfect three-heart result:

Posh Village

An arrogant village with bizarre opinions on barbaric vikings. You have three options to choose from:

Englishwoman

This is the first nonvillage encounter in the game. You won't receive any hearts in this event. Once you reach the end, you'll only have one heart. There is no other way to get three hearts. One heart is enough.

Simple Village

The Simple Village is hard: you have defend your viking style of living. There are many options for doing this, but I only know of one 3-heart route.

Corgi

The Corgi is again a non-village friend. You can't fail this, you will always win one heart!

Goat

The goat is not a village encounter. You will always get one heart from the goat.

Rivalson

Rivalson is an recurring character that you will meet several times along your journey. But, he's not an entire village, so the hearts available to him are limited. You will always end with one heart and you can't lose it.

Londinium

This is the "boss" who will end all of England. You will get two world maps if your win this one. This boss encounter is also longer than normal. You can build your actions over several turns and then use Raid for maximum impact.

France

France is the first country to be unlocked after winning England. It's now unlocked with the help of Sweden and Londinium. You can either pursue this option or go to Sweden.

Once again, you have the option to travel through France until your "boss villages" of this map, Normandy. To unlock Iceland, the last map of the game you must conquer Normandy along with Birca, the boss from Sweden.

Charming Village

The first village in France. You will need to show the village that you are a good student of manners by visiting England (.

Rivalson

Rivalson is back This encounter could be crucial to the overall Rivalson plotline. But as for the hearts? You will always get one.

Goat

It's another goat! This one will always give one, even if it's not in a village.

Beginner Village

The Beginner Village has a unique twist: Rivalson is trying to win your village's affection. Rivalson must be taken out of the game to win. The best way to get the best result is to follow these steps:

Another non village encounter: Always one Heart

Normandy

The "boss", France's leader! This one is very unusual. Normandy, even if it's all great, isn’t ready to pillage. With a well-planned date you can still succeed.

Sweden

Sweden – Unlocked map by winning Londinium’s Heart in England. It's your choice whether you finish France and Sweden first. To unlock Iceland's final location, you must conquer Normandy and Birca in France.

Fellow Viking

You help Olaf, another viking, win the heart and respect of a village. Technically, it is a non village encounter. However, it counts as a real village so you can get up three hearts.

Trendy Viking

Another non-village who always gives you one.

Odin (?)

Odin is your trusted advisor. But, something's wrong about him… That can't be true.

In any event, this is not a village encounter, so the hearts we can get are always the same.

Fake Village

This village, which is made of gold, is quite arrogant. There is a trick. Find it on the 3-heart route.

Rivalson

Birca

The last encounter in Sweden. This will enable you to win the entire game and possibly unlock Iceland if Normandy has been conquered in France.

Iceland

This is the final section! This map can be unlocked only by conquering Normandy (France) and Birca (Sweden). This guide will provide a wealth of information about Ragnarok. It also contains the last encounter of Ragnarok: Valhalla.

Mystical Gate

Snuffles, Iceland’s pet dragon, is strong in resistance to your first encounter. You need to figure out a way to get Snuffles out of your hair. Here's the perfect three-heart strategy.

Rivalson

The final Rivalson encounter The quest continues here. This encounter is crucial for the Rivalson questline. Although you will always get one Heart, it is crucial that you listen to what he has to say.

Daring Viking

A cool viking grandma to meet in the freezing snow. You will always get one from this non-village encounter.

Odin (?)

Another mysterious encounter with Odin – a person who appears to be Odin. (. As usual, there's only one heart you can get.

Goat Village

This village will test your knowledge about all the goats and other animals you've encountered. Here's how three hearts can be earned.

You will learn much about Odin's prophecy during this encounter. This isn't a village, so you can get only one heart.

Valhalla

Doki Doki Ragnarok's finale! There are many ways to win here. You can choose different allies, and you can choose a different outcome entirely depending upon your progress in Rivalson questline. I will detail the 3-hearts route.

Accomplishments

There are many achievements you could achieve throughout the game. All of them can be found here.

Something precious	England	Corgi	In phase 1, ask your corgi "Who is a good boy?" The corgi should then be told in phase 3 that it is you. I'm a good boy. That will help you achieve your goal.
Spin to Win	England	Intro Village	In phase 3 of your village, select the option "(roar-barf"
Free Pa*s	England	Intro Village	You will have the option to "Miraculous Comeback" rather than the usual viking actions, if you do not possess at least one heart before phase 4. You can get the achievement by choosing this action.
Album Covers	England	Simple Village	Say "Let’s sing praises of Odin." In phase 1, you can say "You dissing mine bro Odin?" in phase 3. Then, you can use the option “Praise Odin” in phase 4.
The Beginnings of Foeship	England	Rivalson	Rivalson tell Rivalson "I'll become the most powerful foe I've ever had!" Phase 3.
The Beginnings of Friendship	England	Rivalson	Rivalson should tell Rivalson that he will become the most powerful friend he has ever had. Phase 3.
The Dating Route	England	Rivalson	Phase 3 allows you to tell Rivalson one or two things and earn this achievement: “I will become the most powerful friendship you ever had!" Oder "But does it really fulfill you?" ".
Too Distracted	England	Londinium	Tell Londinium during phase 9: "Sorry.
Maximum Over Raid	England	Londinium	To achieve this achievement, you must use the "Raid” option with the maximum boosts. You could use the "Raid" option to give you a boost. This can backfire on you if you use the same boost twice.
England Conquered	England	Londinium	Londinium allows you to gain at most one heart
I'm Board of Games	Normandy	France	First, tell Normandy (phase 2) that Odin is welcome to join you. Choose boardgames from phase 7. You can play boardgames in phase 7.
I like Sneks	Normandy	France	Normandy must be told (at least three times) that you are going to try and poke a snake with a stick. Normandy can finally hear you tell him that you just love snakes. This will enable you to attain the achievement.
France is conquered	Normandy	France	Normandy offers at least one heart.
Ravens Undercover	Ravens	France	In phase 3, tell the ravens, “You don’t want Odin to discover that, don’tyou?"
What's Updog?	Rivalson	France	Phase 2: Rivalson's question: "Unrelated, however, have your ever heard of "Updog?"
Happy Hour	Rivalson	France	Phase 3: Rivalson, "Hey, wanna get the happy hours for drinks later?"
Canine Cohort	Beginner Village	France	You can persuade your corgi friend to choose the option "(offers bellyrubs)", which is available in phase 5. This will only work as long as you do two things to make the corgi smile: either shake a bag of dog biscuits at it or attack England.
Friendship – No Escape	Beginner Village	France	In phase 7, say, "I believe Bjorn did such a great thing. Don't you agree? ".
Rude Attitude	Charming Village	France	Phase 3: Choose (to apologize for not being courteous enough). This can only be done if England was not attacked prior to this point. Then, choose "Raid", in phase 5.
Odi-NERD	Charming Village	France	This phase will require you to select "What are your hobbies? Oh picturesque village?" Phase 3. This is possible only if your politeness is good. Choose "… yes?" In phase 4, select "Praise Odin" in phase 5.
Jusqu'à the End of Time	Birca	Sweden	If Birca is angry during the very last phase (10, which you can clearly see by the angry icon ((10), you'll get the option "(wait to the end time)). Select it to obtain this achievement.
Sweden Conquered	Birca	Sweden	Birca is a great place to gain at least one soul.
Benefits from Conquering Buddies	Rivalson	Sweden	In phase 2, Rivalson will tell Rivalson "We can totally be conquer friends, Bjorn." ".
Scream into Void	Rivalson	Sweden	You can roar every turn in confusion until "(, roar confusedly" in phase 3.
Viking Doctor Licensed	Vikings for you	Sweden	Recommend Olaf take mead. Later, you might use the option "(Startle him to Stop the Hiccup)" in order to stop the hiccups that he got from the drink of mead.
A Divine Date	Valhalla	Iceland	You can win the game if you have at least 1 heart and do not choose Rivalson.
Revolutionary Viking	Valhalla	Iceland	You can win the game if you complete Valhalla by using the Rivalson option. This can only be achieved if the final Rivalson achievement has been completed in Iceland.
Love to Hate Your	Valhalla	Iceland	In phase 11, select the option "Bjorn Rivalson!" Fight with !!!". You must not have walked the Rivalson path of romance by obtaining the last Rivalson achievement for Iceland.
Accepting a Fault	Valhalla	Iceland	Praise Odin, and Odin will regret you opposing him. Later, claim the prophecy to Valhalla and Odin's deception will be revealed.
Forbidden Romance	Rivalson	Iceland	Choose options that are sympathetic towards Rivalson. After you have completed all of that, you will be able to choose the option "(declare your vikingly affection)" for phase 4. This will only be possible if you have attained the romance achievements in all three other countries than Iceland. If it worked then you will be able to get this achievement by any of the first three options next turn.
The Worst Advice	Odin	Iceland	If you are the Icelandic Rivalson's final romance achievement, you will be able to choose "What should we do about Bjorn Rivalson?". Then choose "I'm terrified Bjorn will turn against me!" ".
Non-Compliance	Goat Village	Iceland	Fail every answer and choose any answer that isn't correct. Then, you can say "Wow I didn't get even one right!" ".
Meaditation	Daring Viking	Iceland	Phase 1: Choose "Another Icelandicviking!" Or "Hey Olaf, are you familiar?" Phase 2 allows you to choose "(, worldlessly hand Olaf some mead"
SUPERFRIENDS!! !	Mystical Gate	Iceland	Phase 1: Question the village about "So, um, what does Snuffles resemble?" Then, you can choose to "Drink Mead". Phase 4 is "Raid".
