These are some tips that beginners might not know.
 

Identify the ghost types

 
These things are important to have with you when the game begins
 
1. Holy Fire
 
2. UV flashlight
 
3. Lighter
 
Or
 
1. EMF (if necessary)
 
2. UV flashlight
 
3. Lighter
 
Or
 
1. Flashlight (if necessary)
 
2. UV flashlight
 
3. Lighter
 
 
These are the steps to take when you get inside the building. You will get clues about the ghost after the main quest has been completed.
 
 
1. Light up to 3 candles
 
If the quest is successful, the ghost might be a Vampire (Demon), or Gallows.
 
1.1 Use the UV flashlight. If you find a footprint the ghost is a vampire
 
1.2 If your friend can't see your footprint, you can get back to them.
 
Either high EMFs (>3 -or high temperatures) = the ghost is Demon.
 
Either low EMFs (>4 – or low temperatures, around 0 – = the ghost in Gallows.
 
Demons are also able to open doors and light candles. Gallows don't have this ability. The best way to make yourself look more professional is to tell the ghost type by using candles or doors.
 
 
2. Turn on 5 bulbs
 
If the quest has been completed, the ghost could be Child or Darkness
 
2.1 Use the UV flashlight. If you can see a footprint the ghost is Child. Otherwise, Darkness.
 
 
***At the moment, Drowned, Jiangshi, Poltergeist and Jiangshi are all left. You have two options, depending on the situation. Holy Fire can be used to protect you, if this is possible. Holy fire can protect you against these three ghosts. Important: Jiangshi cannot attack you. You can immediately complete Jiangshi's first main quest by throwing Holy Fire on him. ***
 
 
Path 1 Brute force
 
3. Turn on 5 water spigots
 
If the quest has been completed, the ghost will be drowned
 
4. All doors are opened
 
If the quest is finished: the ghost will be Poltergeist Otherwise, Jiangshi.
 
 
Path 2 Water taps + Electric Magnetic Field
 
3. Turn on 5 water spigots
 
If the quest has been completed, the ghost will be drowned
 
4. While you wait, examine the EMF. If the signal exceeds 3, the ghost might be Drowned or Jiangshi. Otherwise, Poltergeist.
 
Ask your friends if they can lower the temperature to -5. If so, the ghost might be Drowned.
 
 
 

These are some tips that could help you

1. You can throw the items while being caught. You can also throw the objects while being caught if you are not confident in your aim. You can also identify a ghost type by letting it hunt and skipping 3 TAB Quests.
 
2. In insane mode, when a ghost starts hunting, you can drop your flashlight to the floor and then stand in its rays. Drop all other items aside from the one that can actually defend you and crouch. If the ghost tells you to drop the item and you are forced to, crouching may cause the item drop right in front. You can easily grab it and play insane mode such as easy mode.
 
3. Learn how fire salt and holy salt are used. They are affordable and will lighten in the dark. The holy salt can also be used with ghosts. The Fire Salt can be used with most ghosts (except darkness). The fire salt is only usable if 5 light bulbs are turned on and nothing happens.
 
4. You can use insane mode to leave a flashlight nearby or in the area you are normally being dragged into. It will a*sist you and your friends in navigation. One UV and one normal flashlight are both free.
 
5. Sometimes, it can be more rewarding to let a friend complete the quest and get a set of items for free than to purchase multiple identical items.
 
6. Not every side quest pays you well.
 
7. TAB quests should be considered, but not mandatory. Waiting for voodoo/radio/board is time-consuming. Concentrate on what you know and do the ritual. Simply pick the answer you know and then complete the ritual. Instead of doing a ritual step, you will get the answer to TABquests.
