GTFO – My personal terminal guide
Hello there fellow survivor! Try to survive out there, eh? Surviving in the Complex with creatures Naruto running towards you isn’t always that easy. You probably want to learn how to work the terminal , to either do things yourself (yeah, you strong independent you!) or to help out your fellow teammates.
The terminal is a computer which can be found in various zones. They are usually spread around the map. From personal experience knowing how the terminal works and how to use it, will save you from a lot of trouble & wasting time. You’ll have a better time navigating yourself and be less confused about how the game works and as for what to do most of the time.
I’ll be going trough the basics, and the more complex things. Hope it will be helpful! 🙂

Basic terminal commands
As a beginner it’s really nice to know these three basic terminal commands. They are the most used ones, I will be explaining them one by one.
So what do these commands do you say?
As it says, it lists things. It will list the things that are spawned in a room/zone.
This command will give you more information on where certain things are.
Ping Ping Ping ! You will hear a sort of ping sound so that you can find and locate the item.
How do these commands look like ?
The LIST terminal commands
So as mentioned in last part, you will use this command when you want to find an item that you are looking for.
- LIST ZONE_
- LIST ITEM_TYPE
- LIST ITEM_TYPE ZONE_
What do these commands mean? What is the difference ?
This command will show all the items that are in the zone.
For example: LIST ZONE_252
This will show you every single name of the type of item that you put in , that matches it.
For example: LIST CELL , LIST BATTERY , LIST KEY
LIST ITEM_TYPE ZONE_
This will show every matching item in that zone.
For example : LIST CELL ZONE_252
In need of recourses
You are looking for some? It can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be with these commands.
LIST RESOURCE ZONE_
It will show you ammo packs, medipacks, tool refills.
For example : LIST RECOURCE ZONE_252
The QUERY terminal commands
The QUERY command is for when you look for a certain item. These could be objective items, recources, storages, doors and things such as HSU, generators, ectr…
It will/might also tell you how many uses there are left of items such as medkits or ammo packs. This is usefull to know if it’s worthwhile to get the item or not.
Commands for OBJECTIVE ITEMS
- BATTERYExamples : QUERY KEY_YELLOW_542, QUERY CELL_555, …

The PING terminal commands
What does it do?
The ping commands will let you hear a ping sound but also show the item it’s subzone location.
Example of a PING command:
PING SUCCESS. MEDIPACK_253 found in Zone_253 Area_B
The PING’s sound is directional and the closer you are to an item the louder the ping will be.
Reactor terminal commands
REACTOR_STARTUP will start the reactor and trigger an alarm which makes enemies spawn.
Within a REACTOR_STARTUP you will need to repeatedly input REACTOR_VERIFY followed by a 4 letter code.
UPLINK terminal commands
To start an uplink you will need to input UPLINK_CONNECT followed by the code shown onscreen
in the format “__.__.__.__”.
After starting the uplink, you will need to do a UPLINK_VERIFY commands to finish it,
for an UPLINK_VERIFY there will be a code shown on the terminal, for example X04,
this will correspond to a 4-letter long password shown on screen.
After finding out which code Is correct you will have
to input UPLINK_VERIFY followed by the code.
