Guide for Hunt: Showdown – Envelope Locations
I created this guide with the purpose of indexing the location of every possible envelope spawn. Due to the random nature of finding these in-game I have only discovered a few dozen locations, so for now I will only include a screenshot of their location as well the compound that they are found in, and will update the guide as I find more. I plan to further organize the guide by compound and to add a map marker to their exact location as I discover a more substantial number of spawns.
Everything currently in this guide is subject to change, if you should spot any mistakes or incorrect information, feel free to post corrections in the comments.
Because discovering these envelopes is mostly a matter of luck, any contributions would be greatly appreciated. Should you discover a new location(s) and would like to help with this guide, please link a screenshot in the comments or send it directly to me and I will credit you in this guide for the find. As of this initial draft, all of these locations were found by me
Overview of Lootable Objects
With patch 1.4.8 came the addition of 5 new lootables that can be found in static or dynamic locations around the map. The main focus of this guide will be on the envelopes, as like cash registers, they have a chance to spawn in set locations around the map. They jumped out to me as incredibly useful for players like myself who choose to prestige as they can potentially speed up the process quite a bit. I will however also include a brief description of the other new types of lootables. As with all lootable objects in Hunt, all of the following items can only be looted by a maximum of 2 players.
These pouches are found frequently at random locations around the map. There are two different types:
- Hunt Dollar Bags : Extremely common, contain <25 Hunt Dollars
- Blood Bond Bags : Far rarer than the dollar bags, contain <3 Blood Bonds
The low amount of currency found within coupled with the fact that they can spawn in ANY location that regular types of loot can spawn (ammo, medkits etc) make it pointless to actively search for money pouches, but their frequent spawn rate means that you’ll usually encounter a couple of them every match through natural gameplay.
These bright yellow canister can be used to clean your currently equipped weapon. This of course is purely visual and has no impact on gameplay. I believe that like the money pouches, they are able to spawn in the place of any other lootable object, but due to how infrequently they spawn I have not been able to confirm this. It may be the case that they also spawn in fixed positions around the map like cash registers.
A bone charm will grant one random trait (the trait is specified in the interaction prompt) for up to two players. They can rarely be found in random locations around the map, but unlike all other lootable items in Hunt, they can also be dropped from slain Meatheads at around a 50% chance. If your current hunter has no available trait slots, using this will override the last acquired trait, so be aware that you may possibly replace a Doctor trait with something like Iron Devastator.
The focus of this guide. They are infrequently found in various fixed locations around the map. There are 3 different types:
- Bloodline XP : Provides 500 XP directly to your bloodline
- Hunter XP : Provides 1000 XP directly to your hunter
- Trait Points : Provides 3-6 trait points for your hunter to use after the match
The bloodline XP pickup will be added to your bloodline even if your hunter dies that match, whereas the hunter XP pickup will provide no bloodline XP if your hunters survives, but will add 500xp should they die (Half of a hunter’s XP is added to the bloodline when they die). The trait point pickup is only applied should your hunter survive the match. From my findings so far it seems that the bloodline envelope is by far the most common, followed by trait envelope and the hunter envelope being the rarest. I’ll start recording my finds from now to see if I can a*sign a rough percentage to their spawn rates.
Using this will instantly unlock the next weapon in the upgrade path of your currently equipped weapon. As of writing this initial draft, I have not found a single blueprint in about 40 hours of game time in 1.4.8 so they may be extremely rare or extremely well hidden around the map. If they spawn at fixed locations like envelopes do, I would also like to eventually update this guide with the location of blueprints as well.
While the focus of this guide is envelopes, I would also greatly appreciate any info on the locations of blueprints. If they do in fact have fixed spawns then I may eventually update this guide for blueprints
This will for now just be a random list in no particular order with some rough screenshots, but I will eventually separate them by compound and add another image with their exact location on the map. Also, steam guides have a puny size limit of 2mb for images, so I just batch converted these into JPG’s, you may see some pretty bad compression artifacts, shouldn’t have an impact on the purpose of the guide. Also Also, I’m an idiot and forgot to screenshot some of these before taking them, so the actual envelope may not be in view, but I a*sure you that it can spawn there
