(DISCLAIMER DO BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL DOING THIS, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DO SOMETHING THAT CORRUPTS YOUR GAME. CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK)
1. Step 1 Finding the Files
Start off by getting to your game files for KSP in your games folder (if you didn’t name it it’s called Games), go into games, steam Library, steamapps, common, Kerbal Space Program, find the saves folder, find your save, and then find the file: persistent.sfs
2. Step 2 Editing The Code
Now that we’re at the notepad persistent.sfs go into it. Don’t worry if it’s not a notepad already, double click and open it on note pad. then scroll through the oceans of coding and find the Kerbal that you want to revive. Then once you’ve fond your Kerbal’s coding, look to the status and change it to: Available. Don’t get rid of anything other then the dead after the status, not even the space in between the equal sign and the dead.
(DISCLAIMER! I’ve never gotten rid of the space between the equal and the dead so i don’t know if it will cause any problems, but better safe then sorry) and then if you already had your game open close it and reopen it again and your Kerbal should be healthy and ready for another flight!
3. Conclusion
Hey, so you’ve made it to the end, if anything went wrong please know that I am incredibly sorry and I probably won’t sleep well ever again. let me know if it worked or If you have any problems in the Comments (other than you game being corrupted, I don’t know much about game code) I will try to help the best I can to help you.
