How to enable motion controllers for PlayStation, Switch, Steam Controllers via the Steam layout configurator.
Instructions
These settings can easily be enabled within Steam by opening the game and selecting Controller Layout from the menu bar. Next, select Browse Configs at the bottom to locate them in the Community tab.
You can also copy paste one of the links provided (steam://) into a browser to view it directly in Steam, where you can then decide whether to accept or reject the setting.
You must enable Steam controller support for your controller in order for this setting to work. This setting is set by default. It can found in Steam (main menu) View (top-menu) Settings (dropdown choice) Controller (side tab), General Controller Setting (button), PlayStation/Switch Support (tick this box for the type of controller you have).
These settings will not work with the PS5 DualSense's adaptive Triggers.
Motion Controls on Touch
PlayStation: All controls as normal except for the touchpad. Extra functionality: To use motion controls, touch anywhere on the pad. Press the upper and lower pads to Dodge, and the upper and lower pads to Jump. When asked to use your touchpad, click on the left side.

Troubleshooting
If you have any problems using these settings, you can refer to this section. Otherwise, ignore it.
Problem: The adaptive triggers on the PS5 DualSense controller do not work
Solution: DualSense adaptive trigger feature is not compatible with Steam's PlayStation control configuration. You must choose one.
Problem: This does not work like the Switch Control Scheme or another scheme that I prefer.
Solution: The convention to make the yaw direction relative to ground and not the controllers orientation on PC is not easy to implement. It is very different from how it functions with many Switch titles. You might be able, in Steam, to change the controller layout to suit your preferences if Switch motion controls are not what you prefer. If I have your feedback, I may be able make a plan that suits your needs.
Problem: This input scheme is confusing to me.
Solution: To see in these directions, touch the pad or pull on the left trigger. To avoid rotating out of view of your screen, the controller moves faster than the camera. The controller does no need to be pointed towards the screen. It measures the distance from its starting point when the motion buttons were last activated to make camera motion. However, it should be reset between movements.
Problem: These motion controls are exhausting my arms/shoulders.
Solution: Add motion controls using the right joystick.
Swinging the controller around and putting your arms out front may be helpful for quick motions. However, it can also fatigue a player. Instead of balancing your upper arms on your seatback or resting your elbows on handrests you can twist the controller and rely on your lower arms to make movements.
Problem: Using these motion control devices can cause carpal tunnel syndrome.
Solution: Instead to twist the controller by your wrists, hold your hands straight in front of yourself and swing the control around with your arms.
Problem: I feel motion sick because of these controls.
Solution: Adjusting your Steam controller's motion controls can help. This setting is located between the controller grips. You might also find it helpful to get used a the controls. However you should not play long enough to feel sick.
Problem: Touchpads can be uncomfortable or make other controls difficult to use.
Solution: Use Left Trigger settings instead. The touchpad activation mechanism should work well with most adult controllers with touchpads. However it may not work well with PlayStation controllers. Many users will find it difficult to use multiple functions at once.
Problem: The camera will drift in one direction despite me holding the controller still.
Solution: Some controllers are able to calibrate their gyroscopic sensors when they are placed on a flat horizontal floor for a few moments. Others may need to calibrate their controllers in Steam.
Problem: Camera movements appear choppy, or rough.
Solution: Some controllers could experience poor gyroscopic performance while wireless depending upon how well their signal received. You can either increase the signal strength or clear a direct line between the controller, the computer's receiver, and put the controller into wired mode.
Low framerates can also cause this. In such cases, you should increase the framerate and lower graphics settings. This will make it less likely that any input method will fail in those conditions.
Design considerations for the game:
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered comes with Steam Input support. With this, it can more directly interpret motion controller inputs without having to emulate a mouse and joystick. This allows it access motion controls at their full potential without requiring input emulation or confusing prompts.
