This is aGraphics Settings Guide. This isNOTa FULL BLOWN Optimization Guide. (Like Hex Editors or Big Game changers) I will try to maintain the BEST Visual Quality. This guide is just give you them few extra frames you need to have that Silky Smooth Experience.Ultra Setting is the Standard.Extra Tips will be listed at the bottom of this Guide.

RESOLUTION

This setting can be whatever you prefer but I recommend you set this to your Monitor’s Native Resolution or whatever your Graphics Card can handle. For my personal preference I set mine to 1920×1080.

ASPECT RATIO

This setting should be set to your Monitor’s Native Aspect Ratio that matches with your Native Resolution. There seems to be a issue with other players having their Resolution changed against their will and it seems to be due to having their Aspect Ratio on AUTO. For my personal preference I set mine to 16:9.

QUALITY

This setting I recommend should be set to ULTRA. Setting this to Extreme can hurt performance without a very noticeable increase to Visual Quality. And setting this any lower than Ultra you will notice changes in Visual Quality. But set what you’re hardware can handle. For my personal preference I set mine to ULTRA.

VSYNC

This setting is a personal preference. There is conflicting reports of people hurting in performance or not at all. If you want to reduce screen tearing and cap your Framerate to your Monitor’s Native Refresh Rate then set Vsync to FULL. If you set Vsync to HALF your framerate will be half of your Monitor’s Native Refresh Rate. If you set Vysync to OFF you will have an Unlocked Framerate. For my personal preference I set mine to FULL.

GAMMA

This setting is a personal preference. It should be tuned so the image to the left is barely visible.

MOTION BLUR

This setting is a personal preference. I recommend this should be set to OFF there is a 1% performance hit when using Motion Blur. For my personal preference I set mine to OFF.

RAY TRACING

This setting I recommend should be set to ULTRA for the full experience of Ray Tracing. I’ve tried the other settings and haven’t noticed a huge downgrade to Visual Quality but we’re here for the Ultra standard not the High Standard. For my personal preference I set mine to ULTRA.

NVIDIA DLSS

This setting is personal preference but I HIGHLY recommend you utilize it. Whether you’re on 1080p, 1440p, 4K or even 8K. If you’re on 1080p or 1440p I recommend the Quality option. If you’re on 4K the Performance Option or Quality option is for you. If you’re on 8K I bow to you my lord. But this setting is where you will see a huge increase in performance. For my personal preference I set mine to QUALITY.

REFLECTIONS

This setting I recommend should be set to RAYTRACED for the full experience of Ray Tracing. I’ve tested the Hybrid setting and it seems to do a mix of Ray Traced Reflections and Screen Space Reflections. If you don’t care for Raytraced Reflections as much you can set this to Hybrid. As this doesn’t hurt the overall Visual Quality as much as RayTraced Lighting does. For my personal preference I set mine to RAYTRACED.

VRS

This setting I recommend should bet set to 2X or 4X. This setting allows the game to recognize what is more important to render in full detail in a scene. I have tried each setting and don’t really notice any Visual Quality improvements or vice versa. Though I do see a minor increase to performance by like 2-5% when using VRS on 2X or 4X. For my personal preference I set mine to 2X.

HAIRWORKS

This setting I recommend should be set to OFF. You can notice an improvement in performance with Hairworks set to OFF. But you will also notice a minor hurt to Visual Quality in terms of Hair. However it’s not worth keeping Hairworks ON in terms of performance and Visual Quality. For my personal preference I set mine to OFF.

ADVANCED PHYSX

This setting I recommend should be set to ON. There is no noticeable hurt to performance or Visual Quality with it OFF or ON. For my personal preference I set mine to ON.

TESSELLATION

This setting I recommend should be set to OFF. This setting hurts performance the most and can alter the terrain and walls drastically. This setting just gives the world more depth like brick walls would have indentations in between each brick and etc. To be honest you will only notice a downgrade to Visual Quality when looking at walls up close but it’s not immersion breaking. For my personal preference I set mine to OFF.

FIELD OF VIEW

This setting is personal preference. Though I recommend this setting should be set to Max Field of View. If you like your character’s eyes being zoomed in or you suffer from Motion Sickness do what you will with this setting. For my personal preference I set mine to 15 Bars (MAX).

SHADING RATE

This setting I recommend should be set to 1.0x. This setting is like a Render Scale option but ONLY alters the shading rate not the Resolution. This seems like it’s only available for AMD GPU’s from what I’ve seen. For my personal preference in the Original Version I set mine to 1.0x.

THE END

Congratulations on reaching the end of this Graphics Settings Guide. This guide may seem like common sense to a majority of you Tech Savy people but there are others who aren’t aware of what is necessary in terms of Performance vs Visual Quality. You’re not obligated to follow this guide and you’re not obligated to Max everything out and expect decent performance. This guide is just here for those needing that extra nudge in performance. Anyone is free to comment and give extra tips to increase performance and I’ll probably update the guide where need be. But remember we’re not here to hurt the Overall Visual Quality of the game. Ultra is the standard.
