Guide for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – How To Deal With Jackal
What Jackal’s Gadget Does.
Jackal is an attacking operator who’s gadget, the Eyenox Model III, allows him to see recent footsteps of a defender. He also has the ability to scan said footsteps, revealing their location a set amount of times depending on how long ago you were there. The ping system is similar to that of an Alibi Prisma Device.
I noticed that when people get pinged they seem to run and hide frantically. Whenever someone plays Jackal, they are most likely going to go for the kill once they pinged you. You can take advantage of this, instead of running, go back for him. (Attack the attacker) However, depending on the amount of pings, he might notice you retreating back towards him. You are reliant on aim, and mobility in the scenario.
Sometimes i like to stay in the room that I was first pinged in. Whenever I get pinged i tend to go to the corner of the room, wait for the next ping, then relocate in that room, making the pings scatter as he approaches me. The idea of this one is that you trick him into thinking you’re in a different spot than you really are. He does know you’re in the room, just not where. Use that to your advantage. You know where he would be coming from, let Jackal walk into his demise.
Jackal is known to be this annoying operator, and I guess he can hold that up, but with the right idea, he can be dealt with easier. I hope this helped you with learning how to deal with a Jackal player.
